Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you might want to know before joining a workshop series. If your question is not here, please reach out directly.
Getting Started
The workshop series is open to anyone who wants to build a more consistent saving habit around a specific goal. No financial background is required. Participants come from a wide range of circumstances: some are saving for the first time, others have tried before without lasting results. The structured approach works for both.
No special preparation is required. All workshop materials are provided. It can be helpful to have a rough idea of what you might want to save for, but even that is developed during the first session. Arriving open and ready to participate is enough.
The most reliable way is to contact us directly through the Contact page. We maintain a list of people interested in upcoming series and reach out when a new one is scheduled. You can also call or email us using the details on the Contact page.
Sessions and Format
Each series consists of six sessions, spaced one week apart. Sessions run approximately ninety minutes. The spacing between sessions is deliberate: participants apply what they have learned during the week and bring that experience back to the next session. The week between is part of the learning.
Groups are intentionally kept small. Smaller groups allow for more honest conversation and more focused attention on each participant's specific goal. The peer learning that happens in a small group setting is a significant part of what makes the workshops effective.
Because each session builds on the previous one, missing a session does create a gap. We recommend attending all six sessions when possible. If you know in advance that you will miss one, please let us know so we can provide a summary of the material covered. Missing more than one session typically means joining the next available series.
The series is designed as a complete progression from the first session, so we recommend joining from the beginning. Joining mid-series means missing foundational sessions that later ones build on. Reaching out through our Contact page is the best way to be notified when the next series begins.
Tools and Materials
Participants receive a weekly contribution log, a visual goal progress chart, a monthly review prompt, and a disruption recovery card. These are provided in both printed and digital formats. All tools are designed to be maintained in under five minutes per week. Simplicity is a core requirement: complicated tracking systems get abandoned.
No. The tools work on paper and in standard spreadsheet applications that most people already have access to. There is no requirement to download or subscribe to any specific application. The goal is to make the tracking as frictionless as possible, not to introduce new technology.
Yes. All materials remain with participants after the workshop series ends. The tools are designed for ongoing, independent use. The final session specifically prepares participants to continue their system without the workshop structure. That independence is the intended outcome.
Privacy and Participation
No. The workshops focus on habits and frameworks, not on specific financial figures. Participants set their own goals privately. Group exercises involve sharing intentions, challenges, and progress reflections, not actual amounts or account details. Your financial information remains entirely private.
No. Foviwe Nomaci workshops are educational in nature and focus on habit formation and goal-setting frameworks. They do not constitute financial advice, investment guidance, or any form of regulated financial service. Participants are encouraged to seek qualified financial professionals for advice on specific financial decisions.
